(Ad) Vester has its store again! - Liberty Road Gen. Store & Diner Welcome to New CM What's Cooking Restaurant Vester has it's own store again. Patty Smith Edwards opened the Liberty Road General Store & Diner, 5097 Liberty Road, in the Village of Vester, Columbia, KY on July 4, 2013, with a good crowd of mostly neighborhood folks are are proud to have the store open again. The phone is 270-380-1039 for carryouts. WiFi is/or will be available soon. The store will be open six days a week, Monday-Saturday, from 5amCT-5pmCT and will be closed Sundays, with coffee and hot biscuits and gravy, ready for early morning risers. Eggs are cooked to order. Along with choices of Sausage, Bacon, AND Country Ham. An unusual item is a $1.29 hand patted Hamburger - 50 cents more and it's deluxed - at a price to allow a two burger plate, a mound of crinkle french fries, and a drink for around $5 - quite a bargain today! The store will also offer Pulled Pork sandwiches. Everyday there will be a pot of an Adair County favorite, Pinto Beans & Cornbread, $2.50; the Liberty Road version is seasoned with Country Ham to set it aside from many of the others. Build your own plate lunches with items from the grill are coming, there will be a salad bar, and, in a few days, plate lunch and sandwich specials will be advertised daily in What's Cooking Credit cards are not accepted at this time - maybe later. The restaurant does welcome smokers. A Grand Opening is scheduled for Saturday, June 13th. More details on that will be forthcoming in Liberty Road General Store & Diner's What's Cooking Ads.
