Tobacco-free Schools Policy: It means Tobacco-Free. Period Vocational Agricultural Department will not be growing tobacco as part of its program By Alan W. Reed, Superintendent Adair County, KY School District I have read the questions from some of your readers related to the Board of Education policy addressing the use of tobacco on school property. The specific policy, which went into effect yesterday, July 1, 2013, is as follows: Policy on Use of TobaccoI would hope that all Adair countians respect this policy and understand that our primary responsibility is setting positive and healthy examples for our children. In the spirit of cooperation, our Vocational Agriculture Department will not be growing tobacco as part of its program. Alan W.
