Mr. Elwood Roberts, age 84, of Jan Street, Campbellsville, died Friday, June 28, 2013, at his residence after an illness.

Funeral services for Mr. Elwood Roberts will be held at 12pmCT/1pmET Monday, July 1, 2013, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. The family requests visitation 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Sunday at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel.


He was born December 19, 1928l He died June 28, 2013 at the age of 84, 6 months, and 9 days.


He is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and their spouses: Gregory and Mellisa Roberts of Louisville, KY; and Douglas and Lois Roberts of Somerset, KY

  • One brother and sister-in-law; Bobby and Carolyn Roberts, Campbellsville, KY

  • One sister and brother-in-law; Alice and Robert Nance, Campbellsville, KY

  • His caretaker and companion: Irene Stanbury

  • Two sisters-in-laws: Gladys Roberts of Campbellsville, KY; and Jo Ann Hedgespeth of Ohio

  • Special niece: LeAnn Martin of Colorado
The family requests that expressions of sympathy is in the form of donations to Hosparus of Central Kentucky, Bethlehem Baptist Church or Gideon Bibles. These can be made at the funeral home.
