Campbellsville Police arrest man in marijuana case

On Sunday, June 23, 2013 the Campbellsville Police Department along with the Kentucky State Police Special Operations served a search warrant on the residence of Dewayne "Blue" Smith located at 111 Baptist Street in Campbellsville, KY.



Dewayne "Blue" Smith was subsequently arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree 2nd or subsequent offense, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offense (Drug Unspecified), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana.

The investigation continues and further charges may be pending. Mr. Smith was lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center, Campbellsville, KY.

The investigating officers are Officer Ryan Jewell with Campbellsville Police Department. The Kentucky State Police Special investigators and the Campbellsville Police Department were the agencies involved. - Anne Sanders
