Avis Sapp Carby, 83, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 1:45pmET, Sunday, June 23, 2013 in Campbellsville.

Funeral services will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Dave Walters. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers; Barry Gilpin, Gary Gilpin, Gregg Sapp, Joey Sapp, Lynny Sapp, and Todd Sapp.

Avis Sapp Carby, Taylor Co., KY (1930-2013)

Avis Sapp Carby was the daughter of the late John Green Sapp and Thelma Mae Rose Sapp. She was born Friday, February 28, 1930 in Taylor County, KY. She died Sunday, June 23, 2013 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 83 years, 3 months, and 23 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.

She was a retired Lake Cumberland Area Development Field Worker.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Kirby Cox and wife, Martha of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandsons: John Alan Cox and wife, Beth and Brian David Cox of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two great-grandsons: Andrew Lee Cox and Zachary Thomas Cox

  • Four sisters: Orene Richenburg, Margaret Ann Graybeal and Geneva Bright of Campbellsville, KY; and Virgie Suell of Jeffersonville, IN

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Thomas Sapp, Clemeth Sapp and Jack Sapp.
