Spirit of American Doughboy monument, Liberty, KY



2013-06-20 - Courthouse Lawn, Liberty, KY - Photo CM staff photo. The entrance to the Casey County Courthouse, Liberty, KY, is dominated by this E.M. Viquesney Spirit of the American Doughboy statue, with plaques at the base including the dedicatory one above, and list of those Casey Countians who lost their lives in World War I, World War II, and Korea and Vietnam. According to the entry on the sculptor, E.M. Visquenay there are only 140 of the Spirit of the American Doughboys extant.
