SCC and CU sign transfer agreement for social work program Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) By Allison Horseman SOMERSET, KY (June 19, 2013) - Somerset Community College (SCC) and Campbellsville University (CU) recently signed a 2+2 Transfer Agreement making it even easier for SCC students to transfer to Campbellsville for a Bachelor of Social Work degree. The agreement was developed in an effort to increase the opportunities for SCC graduates to pursue baccalaureate degree programs and to enhance their ability to transfer into and complete a bachelor's degree in Social Work at Campbellsville University. The Social Work degree is offered at both the main campus of Campbellsville University and the university's center in Somerset. Once a SCC student completes the Associate of Arts degree and has been accepted at Campbellsville University, the student will be fully and completely accepted directly into Campbellsville University and the transfer coursework will satisfy their liberal education core. The complete transfer framework program shall consist of a minimum of 62 credit hours. "We have already had 22 wonderful students graduate from the Social Work Program at CU that transferred from Somerset Community College," said Dr. Darlene Eastridge, Carver School of Social Work & Counseling dean. "Our graduates from the Social Work Program are very successful and find job quickly after graduation." Additional specifics for the Campbellsville University 4 year degree include:
