Omie Bryant Burress, 95, of Louisville, KY, died Sunday, June 16, 2013 at the Regency Health Care Center in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 2pmCT/3pmET, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Burial will in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will after 10amCT/11amET, Wednesday, at the funeral home.

She was born December 29, 1917, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Leo & Ida Kimbler Bryant. She died Sunday, June 16, 2013, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 95 years, 5 months, and 18 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Burress in 1986 Survivors include:
  • Two sons: Clayton (Roxanna) Burress of Louisville, KY; Donald Burress of Frankfort, KY

  • One daughter: Dorothy Tannehill of Louisville, KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Eighteen great-grandchildren

  • Fifteen great-great grandchildren
