Father's Day note: Writer's father also born in Europe

E. H. Lepiarczyk writes:
My father, too, was born in Europe. I am thankful that I journeyed with my father to our ancestral homeland in Upper Silesia; and Dad celebrated his 82nd birthday while we were in his hometown, Rybnik. I shall always treasure my memories of our homecoming visit in 2011-2012.

- - E. H. Lepiarczyk. Father's Day, June 15, 2013.

Three generations of Lepiarczyks, in 1975

2013-06-17 - Pleasure Ridge Park, KY .

Three generations of my family: August Lepiarczyk (1901-1981), Gerhard Lepiarczyk, and Erwin Lepiarczyk II, photographed together by a family member, possibly my late aunt, Nona Marie Grider Cook, at a reunion in Pleasure Ridge Park in 1975. It was made when my grandfather and grandmother visited my family from Poland. I was 19 years old and a sophomore at the University of Louisville College of Arts and Sciences when this photograph was made. - E.H. Lepiarczyk II
