Tractor show up in 2nd year at Homeplace on Green River More tractors, bigger crowd, and addition of Kentucky History Society Mobile History van - plus great June weather make show a standout in 2013 Click on headline for item with photo(s). Check back occasionally as additional pictures added By Ed Waggener Based on information gathered from George Kolbenschlag, Larry Smith, and others On a day when everything was happening everywhere in South Central Kentucky, it seemed, the 17th Annual Green River Tractor Show and Antique Gas Engine Show had a remarkable increase in both local area show goers and tractor exhibitors. The show drew 47 tractors this year up over 50% from the first year here at the Homeplace after 15 years at Clay Ridge under the guidance of its found, Lewis Garrison, who was grand marshal of the tractor parade. This year went along Tebb's Bend Road across Green River Bridge, past Tebb's Bend Monument, and back across Green River Dam. The weather couldn't have cooperated much better. It was sunny all day. The response from both the crowd and the tractor owners was really pleasing. A very special added attraction was the Kentucky Historical Mobile History Van. The turnout for the van was encouraging, and we expect the van to return for next year's event. This story was posted on 2013-06-16 03:26:15
