Rebecca Sue Squires Shelton departed this life Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the Springfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Springfield, KY.

The funeral service will be at 7pmCT/8pmET, Friday evening, June 14, 2013, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY. Visitation will be 5pm-7pmCT/6pm-8pmET, Friday, June 14, 2013, at the funeral home. Rev. Gary Ervin will officiate.

Rebecca Sue Squires Shelton was born Thursday, June 3, 1943 in Green County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Gleason and Sylvia Hancock Squires. She departed this life Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the Springfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Springfield, Washington County, KY, having attained the age of seventy years and six days. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summershade Methodist Church.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Kenny Shelton; one son, Charles (Choppy) Jeffries and grandson; Dallas Patterson.

Her two girls, grandchildren and a close friend were with her at the time of her passing.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Phillip H. Jeffries of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two daughters and one son in law: Tammie Sue and Russell Bugg of Springfield, KY; and Melinda Jeffries and her companion Finis Milby of Greensburg, KY

  • One brother: Billy Squires of Lawrenceburg, KY

  • One nephew: Billy Mike Squires of Greensburg, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Four step grandchildren

  • Seven great grandchildren

  • And seven step great grandchildren
The family would greatly appreciate that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
