Lonnie Edgar Hancock, Adair Co., KY (1936-2013) He was a member of a highly regarded Adair County, KY family, the son of the late Loren and Glenna Hancock and one of the distinguished Hancock Brothers. His wife, rosella Starke Hancock, survives. He leaves 3 direct living descendants. Edgar was the golf course superintendent at Pauma Valley Country Club in Pauma Valley, California for 18 years. In 1977, he and his family moved to a farm in Columbia. In 2005, he retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation after 20 years of service. He loved keeping his lawn looking like a golf course. He had a life-long passion for stock car and open wheel racing. Not only was he a fan, he also raced stock cars at El Cajon Speedway in El Cajon, CA, in the 1960's. He died Sunday, June 9, 2013, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 77 years, 3 months, and 9 days. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Geneva Raye Hancock and Jewell Law. Edgar was the golf course superintendent at Pauma Valley Country Club in Pauma Valley, California for 18 years. In 1977, he and his family moved to a farm in Columbia.
