KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY activity report, May 2013 No fatal collisions in post area for May. Total highway fatalities down from year ago. By TFC William Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY COLUMBIA, KY - During the month of May 2013, there were 24 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington. There were no fatal collisions during the month of May in the Post 15 area. This brings our yearly fatality count to 8 compared with 10 through this same period in 2012. State wide fatality count stands at 232 compared with 307 through this same period in 2012. During the month of May 2013, there were 1102 citations written, 202 courtesy notices written, 1537 vehicles inspected, 723 complaints answered, 98 motorists assisted, 76 criminal cases opened and 139 criminal arrests made.- TFC WM.
