William D. Chesher, 63, Louisville, KY, charged shooting of Ronnie Hiser, 58, Edmonton, KY. Chesher lodged in Barren County Jail, Glasgow, KY. Hiser remains in UL Hospital, Louisville, KY. Hiser's wife was in house in shooting incident but not injured. KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY, continues investigation

Det. Ricky Brooks, Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY

COLUMBIA, KY - 63-year-old William D. Chesher of Louisville has been arrested and charged with Assault 1st Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Chesher was located in Edmonton some time after the shooting.

Chesher is lodged in the Barren County Jail.

The victim, 58-year-old Ronnie Hiser of Edmonton remains in critical condition at the University of Louisville Hospital. His wife, Karen Hiser was at the residence at the time of the shooting but was not injured and placed the call to 911 as Chesher fled the scene.
