Lindsey Wilson Football announces captains for 2013 season Seniors Chris Dobbins, Jon Smith, and Sam Wilson and Corrion Cooper will lead Blue Raiders in 2013 season News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson seniors Chris Dobbins, Jon Smith and Sam Wilson and junior Corrion Cooper will serve as team captains for the 2013 Blue Raider football season, head coach Chris Oliver announced today, Tuesday, June 4, 2013. "These four guys represent our program in a great manner," Oliver said. "Jon and Chris have served as captains previously and Sam and Corrion were recently named as captains during the spring semester." Dobbins, Smith and Wilson were all members of the first Lindsey Wilson football team in 2010. All three were significant contributors as freshmen as the Blue Raiders finished its first season of varsity football with a 5-6 record. Cooper joined the team as a freshman during 2011's 7-3 season. Smith, now in his third season as a team captain, became the Blue Raiders first permanent captain in 2011. Dobbins joined Smith as a captain during the 2012 season. "Their leadership on and off the field is impressive and they serve as great examples of what we are looking for in our players," Oliver said. "They have all earned this distinction." Lindsey Wilson opens the 2013 season at 7pmCT on Saturday, August 31, 2013, against Campbellsville University Campbellsville, KY at Blue Raider Stadium, 828 Russell Road, Columbia, KY.
