LWC's Krupinski named NAIA Softball All-American Elizabethtown, KY, sophomore had home-run filled season Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) By Dan White COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson sophomore Kristina Krupinski earned a spot on the NAIA Softball All-America Second Team, national office officials announced on Friday, May 31, 2013. Krupinski finished the 2013 season with 24 home runs, ranking second in the entire NAIA and leading the Mid-South Conference. Her .949 slugging percentage ranked third in the nation and she hit an NAIA eighth best 70 RBIs. The Elizabethtown, KY, native hit .400 for the season with 57 hits, including 14 doubles, five triples and drawing 12 walks. Krupinski also spent 32 innings in the pitching circle, posting a 3-2 record with a 2.41 ERA and 24 strikeouts. It was a sensational sophomore season for Krupinski after seeing just 13 at-bats as a freshman with a .385 average and one home run. Krupinski pitched more a season ago, posting a 4-3 record and 1.71 ERA in 53-1/3 innings. The All-America first and second teams and honorable mention choices were selected by the NAIA All-America Committee. Katie Cotta of Concordia (Calif.) was named pitcher of the year and Lee's (Tenn.) Dominique Hannah was player of the year. This is the fourth straight season the Blue Raiders have had an all-American, including pitcher Anyibell Ramirez and catcher Ally Goniea (2010), pitcher Morgan Paschall and Ramirez again (2011), pitcher Cara Law (2012) and now the first baseman Krupinsk i. Lindsey Wilson finished the 2013 season with a program-record 50 wins after ending the year with a loss in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round - Lindsey Wilson Bracket.
