Ovalene F. Rexroat, 89, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at her home.

Funeral services for Ovalene F. Rexroat will be 11amCT/12pmET, Saturday, June 1, 2013, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Elder Larold Gosser officiating. Friends may call 5pm-7pmCT/6pm-8pmET, Friday, May 31, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Russell Springs City Cemetery.

She was born Sunday, March 16, 1924 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Elvin Ray and Flora Etta Foley. She died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 89 years, 2 months, and 13 days.

She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Salem United Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by a son, David Ray Rexroat; two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Atlee C. Rexroat, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Two children: Bonnie (Lane) Barnes, Russell Springs, KY; and Charles Rexroat, Somerset, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Jonathan Andrew Barnes, Russell Springs, KY; and Sara Elizabeth Barnes, Russell Springs, KY

  • One sister: Enola Belle (Fred) Arms, Danville, KY
The family requests memorials to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or to Gideons International. These can be made at the funeral home. Bernard Funeral Home in Russell Springs in charge of arrangements. Send a condolence to the family of Ovalene Rexroat
