Michael Carter wins second runoff for second ACES council seat

By Robbie Harmon

ACES Site Based Decision Making Council elections are complete After a couple tries ACES finally has a complete SBDM Council for 2013-14...Michael Carter was elected yesterday afternoon as the second parent member to the council.

The first parent member election resulted in a three way tie for the most votes. We then went back to the polls for a second election which resulted in Mr. Neal Gold being elected and us having a tie for the second available seat. That led us to a third election. After the third attempt our council is complete.

The two parent members to the 2013-2014 Site Bases Decision Making Council will be Mr. Michael Carter and Mr. Neal Gold.

The teacher members for the 2013-14 SBDM Council will be Mrs. Teresa Absher, Mrs. Candace Flatt, and Mrs. Marian Grant.

We would like the thank all the candidates for their interest in running for our council...We would also like to encourage everyone to be a part of the monthly meetings throughout the school year.

A special "thank you" goes to Mrs. Marie Pelston for her dedication in conducting each of the parent elections.>BR?
