COX'S CREEK, KY - On Sunday, May 19, 2013 at approximately 6pmET, KSP Post 4 Troopers responded to a fatality crash on KY 245 approximately six miles north of Cox's Creek in Nelson County.

The investigation revealed that a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta driven by 22-year-old Amaris E. Blair from Cox's Creek, KY was northbound on KY 245.

A 2005 Chevrolet Pickup with a single car-haul trailer attached was southbound on KY 245. The pickup was driven by 37-year-old Christopher C. Greer of Bardstown, KY.

The Volkswagen Jetta lost control and spun into the path of the truck. The truck struck the Jetta in the passenger door. Both vehicles came to final rest stuck together on the southbound side emergency lane.

Amaris Blair was pronounced dead at the scene by the Nelson County Coroner. Her passenger, 23-year-old Jonathan Blair of Cox's Creek, KY was also pronounced dead at the scene. They were brother and sister and alcohol does appear to be a factor as to why they lost control.

Christopher Greer and his two passengers, 64-year-old Ronald B. Greer and a 7-year-old, both from Bardstown, sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Flaget Hospital, in Bardstown, and later to University Hospital in Louisville. Toxicology results are pending on both drivers. Tpr. John Adams is conducting the ongoing investigation. MTPR Norman Chaffins
