She leaves three direct living descendants. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, member of Trinity U.M.W. serving as President. She was a hair dresser at Glamor-Ette Beauty Salon & Summit Manor Nursing Home

Nelda Estes Taylor age 78 years of Columbia passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 10:04pmCT, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral service Wednesday May 22, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Steve Pescosolido & Rev. William R. Davenport the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT/5pmET, Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers Jacob Keltner, Brad Keltner, Allen Pierce, Brandon Nokes, Barry McKinney and Mathie Sparks.

She was born on Saturday, June 16, 1934 in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Morris Reid and Beulah McIntyre Estes. She died Saturday, May 18, 2013, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 78 years, 11 months, and 2 days.

She is survived by her husband Allen Taylor of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • One son: David (Kristi) Taylor of Columbia, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Nicholas Taylor and Emily Taylor

  • Four sisters: Nancy McKinney and Jean Nokes of Columbia, KY; Grace Sparks of Woodburn, KY and Shirly Parrish of Louisville, KY

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Morris Willard Estes and Hadis Bryant Estes.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, member of Trinity U.M.W. serving as President. She was a hair dresser at Glamor-Ette Beauty Salon & Summit Manor Nursing Home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the UMW at Trinity United Methodist Church or Gideon Bibles.
