He was the son of the late Hubert and Gracie Davis Young. He was a retired farmer and member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Louise Young. He leaves two direct living descendants.

Robert Lee Young age 66 of Edmonton, KY died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Smith Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Wednesday, May 15, 2013, and after 9amCT, Thursday at the funeral home.



He was the son of the late Hubert and Gracie Davis Young. He was a retired farmer and member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Louise Young of Sulphur Well, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Robert Alan Young of Sulphur Well, KY

  • One daughter: Anita Jean and husband Boon Matney of Exie, KY

  • Two brothers: James Thomas and wife Toni Young of Sulphur Well, KY; and David Earl and Mary Young of Edmonton, KY

  • One sister: Agnes Arlene Guzman and husband Parris of Illinois

  • Nieces and nephews

  • Two beloved pets: Sassy and Popcorn

  • Six grand dogs: Gracie, Muffin, Maxx, Boo Bear, Tinny Bubbles and Cinnamon
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by daughter Rhonda Kay Young and two sisters Nancy Lee Young and Flora Mae Haire.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
