Columbia Police Department makes arrest alleged knife assault Officers Johnny Dial and Drew Conn make arrest after answering 911 call concerning the incident at a residence off Dusk Lane, on the West Side of Campbellsville Road, north of Russell Creek, in Columbia, KY; officers find female victim suffering wounds to the neck and chest, apparently inflicted during an assault with a knife By Ofc. Josh Brockman Columbia, KY Police Department, Jason Cross, chief A Columbia, KY, man has been arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree, a felony charge, and menacing and lodged in the Adair County Regional Bail, held under a $10,000 cash bond. The charges grow out of a domestic violence incident on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, which resulted in the female victim suffering lacerations to throat and chest area. The arrest came after CPD officers were sent to a residence off Dusk Lane in the limits of Columbia by Adair County 911. < Upon arrival they found that the occupants of the residence had been in a domestic altercation resulting in the female victim being assaulted with a knife and sustaining several lacerations to throat and chest areas. Adair County EMS was notified and responded to scene to treat victim. On May 8, 2013, at approximately 1:48amCT, Gary Harmon 46 of Columbia was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree (Felony) and Menacing by CPD Ofc. Johnny Dial and Ofc. Drew Conn.Harmon was lodged in Adair County Regional Jail where he is currently being held on a $10,000 cash bond. The investigation is continuing with more charges pending. - Ofc.
