Fightmaster Golf Outing a special time for Green, Taylor golfers The outing gives exceptional children a chance to experience the game of golf. Green County High School Golf team members Olivia and Gracie Parrott and Taylor County High School members Kayla Rodgers and Alex Doss serve as volunteers for the 10th annual ounting., which kicked off Derby Festivals events. By Deana Parrott For 35 years, the Don Fightmaster Golf Outing for Exceptional Children has kicked off Kentucky Derby Festival events on the Monday prior to the event. This year marked the 10th anniversary of the Kentucky PGA Foundation conducting this great event for Special Needs and Exceptional Children. It is held in Louisville, Kentucky at Shawnee Golf Course. The event gives Exceptional Children from all over Kentucky the opportunity to experience the game of golf. The event kicked off Monday, April 29, 2013. Locally two GCHS golfers volunteered to help with the children. Green County High School Senior, Olivia Parrott, and 6th grade Varsity Golf team member, Gracie Ann Parrott. This was Olivia's second year participating and Gracie's first. According to Gracie, she will go every year from now on if possible. Along with the Parrott Sisters, TCHS Golf team member, Kayla Rodgers and Alex Doss also from Taylor County attended. This story was posted on 2013-05-06 17:45:10
