Fire Chief Louis Crosier highway sign unveiled By act of Kentucky Legislature, outstanding fire chief Ceremony Held Sunday afternoon at sign location on KY 86 By Chris Jessie, Public Information Officer Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 4, Elizabethtown, KY ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (May 5, 2013) Kentucky's 2013 legislative session included memorial designations of several state roads. Locally, a section of KY 86 west of Cecilia in Hardin County is being named, Fire Chief Louis Crosier Highway. The section stretches from Breckinridge County to KY 253 (Bethlehem Academy Road). Representative Jimmy Lee is the sponsor of legislation designating the road. He recalls thinking highly of Louis Crosier. Lee added, "Louis worked for me several years ago and I knew he was going to be a great man. He was truly outstanding and left us before his time." Senator Dennis Parrett also endorses the legislation, saying it is an honor to work with local officials in paying respect to Louis Crosier. Along with Representative Lee and Senator Parrett, Hardin County Sheriff, Charlie Williams also worked with officials from the Department of Highways District Office in Elizabethtown to arrange Sunday afternoon's road sign unveiling. A host of family and friends were in attendance on the Cecilia side of the KY 86 / KY 253 intersection where one of the signs is located. - Chris Jessie This story was posted on 2013-05-06 02:59:04
