Bonnie Tarter, 87, died Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

Funeral services for Bonnie Tarter will be at 10amCT/11amET, Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bobby Dunbar officiating. Friends may call after 5pmCT/6pmET, Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at th funeral home. Burial will be in the Cedar Springs Cemetery.


Pallbearers: Troy Moore, Eddie Thomas, Michael Wells, Shawn Atchley, Jeff Tarter, and Robin Stephens.

She was born Monday, May 25, 1925 in Pulaski County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Myrtle Gosser Price. She died Sunday, May 5, 2013, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 87 years, 11 months, and 11 days.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by two children, John G. Tarter and Betty Lou Tarter; a grandson, David Eastham; a sister, Eva Gosser; and a brother, Donnie Price.

She is surved by the following:
  • Three sons: Billy (Kathy) Tarter, Michael Tarter, Jeffery Tarter, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • One daughter: Debra Mason, Cincinnati, OH

  • Two great grandchildren

  • One brother: Verthal "Bud" Price, New Castle, IN
Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
