Community gets involved in Autism Awareness Month

Speaking Through Silence's 5k/1mile fun walk at the LWC Health and Wellness Center on April 27, 2013 was a huge success. Proceeds are to bring Project Lifesaver to Adair County.The primary mission of Project Lifesaver is to provide timely response to save lives and reduce potential injury for adults and children who wander due to Alzheimer's, autism, and other related conditions or disorders.



Speaking Through Silence is a nonprofit organization Which was formed in the summer of 2011 in Columbia, KY by a group of friends who came together for one common goal; to raise awareness for autism in the community. Speaking Through Silence's ultimate goal is to increase awareness for autism, not only in the region, but the nation, and the world.
