Trio of ACES Artists achieve a first every for Adair School District For the first time, student's artwork from the Adair County School District has been selected to be a part of the prestigious 2013 VSA Arts Inclusion Program Traveling Exhibit Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) By Shamarie Claiborne News from the Adair County School District A great honor has been bestowed upon Brooklyn Mitchell, Jared Harrison, and Kodie Gadberry. For the first time, student's artwork from the Adair County School District has been selected to be a part of the prestigious 2013 VSA Arts Inclusion Program Traveling Exhibit. VSA Kentucky is The State Organization on Arts and Disabilities. VSA over the years has created a partnership with the Kentucky Department of Education to provide inclusionary projects in all the disciplines of the arts for Kentucky Students with and without disabilities. The students are from Mrs. Missy Garmon and Paula Bault's classrooms at Adair County Elementary School, where the traveling exhibit has been showcased in the library over the past few weeks. The exhibit will travel to 24 other districts and has already been on display in places like the Galt House in Louisville. The exhibit is made up of artwork created by Kentucky students from across the state. Students must submit items to the committee who then select the best of the best for the show. Any district would be proud to have a students work chosen but Adair County has three different students work included! Again congratulations to Brooklyn, Jared, and Kodie for a job well done!
