Westlake announces affiliation with Norton Healthcare

Story in progress

By Ed Waggener

Neal Gold, the Adair County Board of Trustees administrative overseer, has announced that Westlake Regional Hospital has just signed agreements with Norton Healthcare, Kentucky's largest Healthcare Provider.

The affiliation doesn't mean that Westlake will be managed by Norton Healthcare, Vice Chair Gold said.

"We're going to do good things together," Gold said at the regular board meeting of the Adair County Hospital District Board of Trustees, meeting at 6:30pmCT, Tuesday, April 30, 2013. All board members, including Chair Craig Pyles, and members Richard Grant, Bruce White, and Brad Keltner were present.

A major benefit Gold said, is that Westlake will start, almost immediately, doing cross marketing with Norton Healthcare.

More specialties will be coming to Westlalke now that the affiliation is in place.

Among others present were Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton, Magistrates Sam Baker (District 3) and Billy Rowe (District 7).
