She was a homemaker and of the Presbyterian faith. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Basil. She leaves 16 direct living descendants

Judy Whobrey Basil, age 64 of Edmonton died Saturday, April 27, 2013 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Lucille Layman Whobrey.

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Butler Funeral Home, 200 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Big Meadow Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, April 30, 2013, and after 9amCT, Wednesday, at the funeral home.



She was a homemaker and of the Presbyterian faith. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Basil, and the following:
  • Three sons: Michael Basil and wife Patricia; Tony Basil and Phillip Basil, all of Edmonton, KY

  • One brother: Roy Whobrey of Louisville, KY

  • Ten grandchildren: Stephanie Basil, Junior Basil, Javen Basil, Taylor Jean Basil, Lacy Hutchins, Gaven Robertson, Victoria Basil, Conner Shaffer and McKenzie Shaffer

  • Three great grandchildren: Kaden, Bobby Lee and Wynter Rae
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson Jessie Basil.

Butler Funeral Home, 200 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
