Florence Gore, Adair County, KY (1921-2013) She was a highly regarded member of the Columbia community and the matriarch of a distinguished Adair County family, with many ties elsewhere, principally in Russell County, KY, She leaves 9 direct living descendants, She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church and was owner of Columbia Candy Company for many years Florence Gore, 91, of Columbia, died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 4:36amCT, at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown, KY. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Friday, April 26, 2013, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Services will be private. Casket Bearers: Jimmy Flanagan, Len Gore, Dr. Lanny Gore, Sean Collins, Rickie Williams, Luke Gore, and Landon Gore Florence Gore, Adair County, KY (1921-2013) She was born November 6, 1921, in Washington County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Mamie Arnold Hatchett. She died Thursday, April 25, 2013, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 91 years, 5 months, and 19 days. She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church and was owner of Columbia Candy Company for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.H. "Dagwood" Gore on September 28, 1992.
