Columbia Police investigate inmate assault at jail

Incident at Adair County Regional Jail. State inmate charged with assault; inmate being housed for Cumberland County transported to Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia, for injuries sustained in altercation

On Tuesday, April 9, 2013, Columbia Police Department were called to investigate an assault that took place at Adair County Regional Jail. As a result 28 year old Joshua Hall, a state inmate, was charged with Felony Assault 2nd by CPD Ofc. Johnny Dial.

The victim a inmate being housed at the facility for Cumberland County was transported to Westlake Regional Hospital for treatment of the injuries sustained in the altercation. Columbia Police Department is continuing the investigation. Ofc. Joshua Brockman
