Warning to the residents of Bull Run Road area Man in black pickup stole metal sheeting around the opening of spring on farm on Bull Run Road. By Barbara Armitage This morning Wayne was cutting grass when he noticed a man in a black truck stopped on Bull Run. The man got out of the truck and casually walked over onto our property and removed the metal sheeting from around the opening to our spring. He tossed the metal into the pickup with the rest of his load and left before Wayne could get off the mower to say anything. I understand that metal is bringing record high prices now but it is still illegal not to mention just wrong to walk onto someones property and remove whatever you want. With heavy rain expected this week we will have to go out today and buy something (not metal) that can cover this opening. The water from this spring provides the water needed for this farm so it's important to me. It's impossible to lock up everything but be aware and if you're the man in the black truck - shame on you. I've got way too much to do to have to stop and go to town to buy a replacement for the metal you stole. - Barbara Armitage This story was posted on 2013-04-09 13:33:27
