Cobb-Vantress and the Green River Industrial Park Mary Knight's research and Jim Hadley's letter to CM make her feel better about proposed sale of land to Cobb-Vantress Related: Cobb-Vantress.com By Mary Knight Since the Macon County Chronicle article about anticipated problems with Cobb-Vantress was from August 18, 2008, I was curious about what had happened in Macon County since that time. I googled Cobb-Vantress of Lafayette, Tennessee, and came across a story entitled pdf Cobb-Vantress Lafayette Hatchery--US Chick Master. It is an interesting article about an interesting company. The Cobb-Vantress.com website pictures an organization with a long, and apparently successful, history, dating back to 1916. Later, in a casual conversation over lunch, my tablemates seemed to know that the proposed facility was neither a hatchery nor a processing plant. They were quite accepting of the new business. After research, conversations, and today's letter to CM from CACEDA Chairman Jim Hadley, I feel much better about the prospective sale to Cobb-Vantress. Thanks, - Mary Knight This story was posted on 2013-04-08 19:14:48
