Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 10amCT/11amET, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with burial in Burkesville Cemetery, N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. The family requests visitation 5pm-9pmCT/6pm-10pmET, Tuesday, April 09, 2013 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.

He was born on October 06, 1922, in Cumberland County, KY. He was the son of the late Finis and Elva Garrett Smith. He died Sunday, April 7, 2013, in Hanover, IN, at the age of 80 years, 6 months, and 1 day.

He was a veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include
  • One son: Phil Smith of Hanover, IN

  • One sister: Vela Jackson of Louisville, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
