The first Farmer's Market on the Square will be 8am-12pm noon CT, Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Adair Annex Parking Lot, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY. The Farmer's Market on the Square Association held its first open meeting last night to overwhelming success. Fifteen local area farmers and crafts persons were the first to join the market association.< "It will be exciting to watch this market evolve and grow" writes Market Coordinator, Barbara Armitage. "Farmer's markets are seasonal so we don't expect any two Saturdays to ever be the same."< On opening day you can expect bedding plants, fresh bakery items, trees and shrubs, primitive art, jewelry, homemade jams, locally produced cheeses, seasonal produce, and lots more surprises.
