C-ville Police arrest passenger after stop, foot chase Driver, Shayla McAllister, 31, also arrested, charged with Hindering Apprehension and Prosecution, 2nd degree. Passenger, Cory Gadberry, 35, arrested, charged with Public Intoxication and Evading Police, 2nd Degree. Both lodge in Taylor County Jail. From Campbellsville, KY, Police Department The Campbellsville Police Department arrested a Campbellsville resident after a foot chase and another person for assisting in the evasion. The incident occurred Monday, April 1, 2013. Campbellsville Police Officer Ryan Jewell was patrolling in the south Campbellsville area on Carden Street. Jewell observed a vehicle operated by a female driver and a male passenger. The driver was not wearing a seat belt. Officer Jewell initiated a traffic stop. When the car pulled over the passenger jumped out and fled on foot. Officer Jewell gave chase but lost sight of the individual. The driver of the car also drove from scene. Officers conducted a search and were able to identify the suspects. The vehicle and driver were later located on McNairy Street. Further investigation led Officers to a residence on Lyon Street. As officers approached the residence, the suspect who had fled earlier ran from the residence and was apprehended after a short foot chase. Officers arrested Cory Gadberry, age 35; 107 McNairy Street; Campbellsville, KY on charges of Public Intoxication and Fleeing and Evading Police Second Degree. In addition, officers also arrested Shayla McAllister, age 31; 107 McNairy Street; Campbellsville, KY on a charge of Hindering Apprehension and Prosecution Second Degree for her role in assisting Gadberry evade police.
