Deadline to apply for free GED registration is April 4, 2013

By LeAnna Bennett

The Adair County Adult Education Center, 108 Lindsey Wilson Street, Columbia, KY, will be offering free GED classes. The classes will be offered in 3 sessions: Session 1 will be 8am-12pm noon CT, Session 2 will be 1pm-5pmCT, and Session 3 will be 5:30-8pmCT. Students can select which session they wish to attend or a combination of any session. The classes will be set up on 7 weeks course for the day classes and a 14 weeks course for the evening classes. At the end of the class students will take the actual GED test. Deadline for registration will be April 4, 2013. Anyone interested in registering for these classes can call the center at 270-384-7475.

REMINDER: The GED test is changing effective January 2014. If you have previously taken the test and passed only parts of it, you will need to complete the test before January 2014, otherwise all partial passing scores will no longer be recognized. --LeAnna Bennett
