The Moseleys are donating history research books to LWC Library

The books are from research Doug and Betty Jean Moseley conducted for their latest book on the American presidents, From G.W. to G.W. (From George Washington to George W. Bush), which will be published later this year

COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College community will celebrate a special gift to its library collection on April 2, 2013, Former LWC administrator and professors Doug and Betty Jean Moseley of Bowling Green, KY, will present more than 480 books to the LWC Katie Murrell Library, at 11amCT/12pm noon ET, in the Thomas D. Clark Room of the Katie Murrell Library, Holloway Building, 235 Holloway Drive, Columbia, KY.



The books are from research the Moseleys conducted for their latest book on the American presidents, From G.W. to G.W. (From George Washington to George W. Bush), which will be published later this year.

The Moseleys came to LWC in 1960. Doug served as a religion professor and later chaired the religion department. For more than a decade, he was assistant to the president for development. Betty Jean was a member of the college's English faculty. The Moseleys have have established an endowed scholarship to support LWC students.

From 1974-1986, Doug Moseley served as a Republican member of the Kentucky State Senate. His district included Adair, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell, Taylor and Wayne counties and at times Casey County and a part of McCreary County.

Doug Moseley has also served on the Kentucky Legislative Ethics Commission, the State Personnel Board, the Kentucky Parole and Probation Board, and has been a district superintendent of the Kentucky Parks Department. He also served as a pastor of United Methodist Churches in Albany, Campbellsville, Columbia, Park City and Russell Springs. - Duane Bonifer
