LWC's Kimberland named an NAIA Mens Basketball All-American

Columbia, KY's Kimberland, a former Adair County High School star led 2012-13 Blue Raiders in scoring and the third on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,488 points, and was fourth on the assists lists with 335

COLUMBIA, KY - Kalen Kimberland is the 14th Lindsey Wilson men's basketball player to be named an NAIA All-American after receiving second-team honors from the national office on Wednesday, March 20, 2013.



The selections are made by the NAIA Men's Basketball Coaches' Association All-America Committee and comprise of a First, Second, Third and Honorable-Mention team. Ten student-athletes are awarded a spot on each of the first three teams.

Kimberland led the Blue Raiders in scoring at 12.8 points per game and assists with 3.8 per contest as they finished the season with a 32-5 record and appearance in the NAIA Fab Four.

The Columbia, KY, native was part of two Mid-South Conference Regular-Season and one Tournament Championship in his four seasons at Lindsey Wilson. The senior is also a former MSC Freshman of the Year.

Kalen Kimberland, Columbia, KY - is the 14th Lindsey Wilson men's basketball player to be named an NAIA All-American after receiving second-team honors from the national office of NAIA on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. He was the team's leading scorer this season and the third highest scoring Blue Raider in the program's history. He has been a standout on the Columbia sports scene for Coach Mark Fudge's Adair County High School Indians as well as for Coach Paul Peck at Lindsey Wilson College.
