Steller Reliford, Adair County, KY (1924-2013)

She was the matriarch of a highly regarded South Adair County, KY, family. She was the daughter of the late George William and Nancy Guinnie Morrison Loy and the mother of Charlene Sneed and Jimmy Reliford. She leaves 11 direct living descendants. Mrs. Reliford was a homemaker and had attended the Emory Chapel Church.

Steller Reliford age 89 years of the Sparksville Community passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 10:10pmCT at the Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY after an illness.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY with Bro. Lonny Karnes the officiating clergy. Interment in the Antioch Cemetery, 3212 Wheeler Hill Road, Sparksville, KY. The family request visitiation after 4pmCT/5pmET, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.



Pallbearers: Daniel Loy, Tim Moss, Anthony Reliford, Larry Reliford, Randall Sneed, and Donnie Wheeler.

She was born January 7, 1924 in the Chance Community of Adair Co. KY. She was the daughter of the late George William and Nancy Guinnie Morrison Loy of Adair County, KY. She died Saturday, March 2, 2013, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 89 years, 1 month, and 26 days.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Jimmy Reliford of Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Charlene Sneed of Columbia, KY

  • Three sisters: Della Cheatham, Ida Mae Wheeler and Myrtle Reliford all of Chance, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Jennifer Rowell, Randall Sneed, Amanda Reliford, Anthony Reliford

  • Five great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Charlie Edgar Loy, George Loy Jr., James E. "Yank" Loy, and William "Bill" Loy and by two sisters: Dorothy Marie Campbell and an infant sister, Doris Loy; one grandson: Carlos Sneed

Mrs. Reliford was a homemaker and had attended the Emory Chapel Church.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, in charge of arrangements.
