Adair Co, KY one vehicle injury collision sends two to hospital

Injured occupants, one from Russell Springs, the other from Jamestown, treated and released at Russell County Hospital following one vehicle crash six miles south of Columbia on KY 55 (Zion area) of Adair County, KY

COLUMBIA, KY - Trooper Adam Likins is investigating a collision that occurred on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 10:30pmCT on KY 55, 6 miles south of Columbia.

22-year-old Leah Franklin of Russell Springs, KY, was traveling south on KY 55 operating a 2006 Mitsubishi when she left the south bound shoulder of the roadway.



The car continued over an embankment and stopped in the ditchline. Passengers, 22-year-old Nikki McClanahan of Russell Springs and 16-year-old Jennifer Roy of Jamestown were not wearing seatbelts.

Roy and Franklin were transported to Russell County Hospital where they were treated and released. Adair County EMS assisted. - TFC Billy Gregory
