Vernon Money age 95 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, March 01, 2013 at Cumberland County Hospital. Vernon was born on Sunday, April 01, 1917 in Green County, Kentucky to the late James Robert and Luitta Miller Money.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 04, 2013 at 1pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. Burkesville, KY with burial in Burkesville Cemetery, N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. The Family requests visitation 3pm-9pmCT, Sunday, March 03, 2013 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville.

Vernon Money was born on Sunday, April 01, 1917 in Green County, KY. He was the son of the late James Robert and Luitta Miller Money. He died Friday, March 1, 2013, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 95 years, 11 months.

He was a member of Burkesville Baptist Church and attended Burkesville First Christian Church. Vernon was an Army Veteran of World War II, was a former owner of Chevron Service Station for 23 years in Burkesville, and was a former partner in Burkesville Motors Garage for 12 years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Laura White Buchanan Money, and his siblings, Elizabeth Coakley, Morris Money, and Altha Lee Sullivan.

Survivors the following:
  • His daughter: Linda Lea Sharp and husband Dave of Burkesville, KY

  • One granddaughter: Karen Sharp Adams of Apopka, FL

  • One great granddaughter:Mary Laura Hood

  • Special friend: Nellie Wells of Burkesville, KY

  • And a host of of nieces, nephews, and friends
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Burkesville Baptist Church or Burkesville First Christian Church and may be left at the funeral home Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, in charge of funeral arrangements.
