Casey Co., KY, head-on injury collision on Bastin Creek Road Eastbound 2004 Mazda strikes westbound 1999 Nissan Sentra. Injured occupants treated at Somerset Hospital. By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY LIBERTY, KY - Trooper Bryan Shepard is investigating a collison that occurred today at 1:10pmCT on Bastin Creek Road, 8 miles east of Liberty, KY. 18-year-old Misty Cochran of Liberty was traveling east on Bastin Creek Road operating a 2004 Mazda when she struck a westbound 1999 Nissan Sentra head-on. The Sentra was operated by 61-year-old Humberto Medellin of Liberty. Both drivers were belted and treated at Pulaski County Hospital. Passengers in the Cochran vehicle, 19-year-old Kegan Posey and 20-year-old Logan Lloyd of Waynesburg, KY were both belted and not injured. A third passenger, 16-year-old Rance Carman of Liberty was also belted and not injured.
