ACSO makes arrests for use, possession of marijuana

Melson Ridge man arrested at home on Cape Road

The Adair Sheriff's Office made a drug arrest in the Melson Ridge area of Adair County, KY, Wednesday, February 27, 2013 while attempting to serve a warrant.


Sheriff Harrison Moss and Deputy Adam Cravens went to 100 Cape Road in Adair County attempting to serve an active warrant on Roy McClister. McClister answered the door and allowed Moss and Cravens inside where he was informed he had an active warrant for his arrest. McClister emptied his pockets by request and pulled out a marijuana joint from his front pocket.

Further search of the residence produced more drugs and drug paraphernalia. McClister was charged with two counts possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance drug unspecified, possession of drug paraphernalia 2nd offense, and possession of a controlled substance 1st degree cocaine 2nd offense. McClister was lodged in the Adair County Jail. - Deputy Adam Cravens
