Steve Burton, ACHS Golf Coach, announces retirement

By Steve Burton
Adair County High School Boys Golf Coach

I was just letting you know that due to life (kids) calling me in other ways, I will be resigning as ACHS Boy's Golf Coach.

However, I did want to take a little time to let you know how much I have appreciated the support that your web site has shown our golf team. It helped bring a tremendous amount of pride to our young men and their families.

I honestly, believe that your website help provide a motivation and sense of pride to our team which, in turn, helped propel our kids to success and heights that had never been reached before.

Once again, thanks for your support over the past four years and please continue your support of our young student/athletes within the county. It is, greatly, appreciated by students, coaches, and their families. Thanks, - Steve Burton
The steps in hiring a new coach: 1) The Position is posted. 2) Applicatios are taken at the central office. 3) Eligible applicants are sent to the school. 4) Principal selects after conferring with site-based council. 5) Superintendent is bound by law to complete the hiring.

The next ACHS Site Based Council meeting is be Monday, February 25, 2013, at 3:15pmCT at Adair County High School, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY - CM
