Kentucky Auction Educators off to big start

'The VFW Building was a perfect venue, and is an often overlooked asset to the community' - KEN HILL

By Ken Hill

A special thanks to Columbia Magazine for making Kentucky Auction Educators' first event a great success.

Seventy-five Auctioneers and Auction House Operators attended the 6-hour course, held right here in Columbia at the VFW Building.

After seeing our first mention on Columbia Magazine, Darrell Overstreet and Key Mortgage offered to provide coffee and snacks for everyone.

Many local, legendary auctioneers were in attendance and many more drove long distances to take advantage of the opportunity to obtain their required CE in a friendly setting.

The VFW Building was a perfect venue, and is an often overlooked asset to the community. We now take the show on the road, so auction professionals across the state can meet their CE requirements without having to travel long distances. Our website: www.kyauctioneducators.com

Joe Gribbins at Auction Educator class at VFW Post, Columbia, KY

2013-02-20 - VFW Post 6097, 411 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ken Hill.
At Auction Educators Core Class =The speaker is Joe Gribbins, the newest Commissioner for the Kentucky Board of Auctioneers. Joe wrote and developed the Core Law Class for the Board, prior to his appointment. He offered to teach the first class so instructors could learn the overall direction, which will help us to deliver the same class in our upcoming sessions. It is worth noting that Commissioner Gribbins performed this valuable service on his own time, and without pay. The Core class is required for all licensees, once every 4 years. - KEN HILL
