Congregational Song Festival Wed., Feb. 20, 2013 There will be a different way of doing 'prayer meeting' at Ransdell Chapel. Saloma Baptist Church's Wednesday night meeting group invites other congregations to join what is hoped will be an annual area event By Linda Waggener Everyone invited to blend their voice with those of friends and neighbors from all over the region at Campbellsville University's first Congregational Song Festival, A Journey of Faith in His Song. Wednesday, February 20, at 5:30pmET/6:30pmET, in Ransdell Chapel, 401 North Hoskins Avenue, Campbellsville, KY. Everyone is welcome to participate in this free event at Campbellsville University. For those who'd like to come early, several food options are located on the campus in walking distance of the Chapel. Parking is available across from the Chapel and on the side facing Broadway. Dr. Tony Cunha, dean of the CU School of Music, says not to come planning to sit quietly and be entertained for this is not a concert - he wants everyone in the Chapel to raise their voices and sing out loud, which, he said, "Is giving the Holy Spirit an opportunity to speak through our singing." The Rev. John Chowning, chair of the Robertson Worship Endowment committee, sponsor of this event, encourages all area churches to join Saloma Baptist Church's Wednesday night meeting group at Ransdell Chapel and share in this very special worship event.
