Kile Burton age 92 years of the Purdy community, Columbia, KY passed away Friday, February 15, 2013 at his home.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 18, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Clergy officiating Bro. Ralph Foster and Rev. David Wray. Interment in Bearwallow Cemetery, 6132 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT/5pmET, Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the funeral home.

He was born on Saturday, November 13, 1920 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Lucian and Belle Redmon Burton. He died Friday, February 15, 2013, in the Purdy community of Adair County, KY at the age of 92 years, 3 months, and 2 days.

He is survived by the following:
  • Six daughters and four sons: Evelyn (Elba) Neat of Elkhorn, KY; Loretta Moss of Campbellsville, KY; Marilyn (Don) Rodgers of Liberty, KY; Jeanie (David) Mann of Albany, KY; Suzanne (David) Mejean of Campbellsville, KY; Anita (Barney) Goff of Campbellsville, KY; Charles Burton of Columbia, KY; Dwight (Mary) Burton of Columbia, KY; Bradley Joe (Betty) Burton of Campbellsville, KY; and Roger Burton of Campbellsville, KY

  • One sister: Alta Cook of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Gilbert Burton of Columbia, KY

  • Seventeen grandchildren

  • Twenty-three great grandchildren

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends survive
He was preceded in death by three grandchildren, four great grandchildren; five brothers Finis, Ernest, Forest, Jake and Leonard Burton; and one sister Ruthie Knight.

Kile was a farmer and had professed faith in Christ at home.
