News from Adair County High School Athletics

The Adair County Indians ended a four game losing streak with a 59-52 victory over the Allen County Scottsville Patriots. The win improved the Indians record to 16-11 while Allen County dropped to 14-13.



Adair trailed 18-13 after one period and 29-24 at the half. A 20-11 third period rally helped Adair take a 44-42 lead after three periods. The Indians out scored the Patriots 15-10 in the final period to pull out the 59-52 victory.

Adair was led in scoring by eighth graders Kel Stotts and Chance Melton with 16 and 12 points. Zach Hutchison came off the bench and connected on all three of his three pointers for 9 points. Rounding out the scoring were Matt Fudge 9, Colton Back 4, Jake Hixson 3, Marshall Shelley 3, Ty Bennett 2, and Tanner Pooler 1. Jayden Willis also saw action for the Indians. Melton pulled down 10 rebounds, Hixson 5, and Matt Fudge dished out 7 assists.
