He was a farmer and the son of Loyd Hodges, of Summer Shade, KY, and the late Brenda Lyons Hodges

Barry Lynn Hodges, age 45, of Summer Shade, KY, died Sunday, February 10, 2013, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 13, at 1pmCT, at Goodson Chapel Methodist Church, Summer Shade, KY, with Bro. Darrick Proffitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will begin Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at 4pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY funeral home and will be after 11pmCT at the church on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, until time for the funeral.



He was a farmer and the son of Loyd Hodges, of Summer Shade, KY, and the late Brenda Lyons Hodges. In addition to his father, he is also survived by the following:
  • Two sisters: Tammy Hodges and Karen Hodges of Summer Shade, KY

  • His maternal grandmother: Helma Lyons of Tompkinsville, KY

  • And numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins
Memorials are suggested to Kosair Hospital or the Summer Shade Fire Department.

The McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, in charge of arrangements. Phone 270-428-3373.
